Rebates & Incentives

Rebates & tax credits · As of September 2026

What may apply to your project — and what we verify for you

Incentive programs for solar, storage, and heat pumps change often at the federal, state, and utility level. Here’s an honest overview of where things stand, and what we’ll confirm before you commit to anything.

Programs change — we don’t guess

May qualify, subject to change

We deliberately avoid quoting fixed percentages or dollar amounts on this page. Tax credits, state rebates, and utility programs are set by outside agencies and can change with little notice. Below is a general, dated overview — not tax or legal advice. Confirm specifics with a tax professional and with us before assuming eligibility.

Federal — solar & storage

Certain solar and battery installations may currently qualify for a federal tax credit. Percentages, eligibility rules, and installation deadlines are set by federal law and can change. We’ll confirm current status for your specific project rather than quote a number here.

Federal — heat pumps

Based on current federal guidance as of September 2026, the 25C energy efficient home improvement credit for qualifying heat pumps is treated as expired for 2026 installs. If federal guidance changes, we’ll update this page.

Pennsylvania state programs

Pennsylvania has, at times, discussed HOMES- and HEAR-style rebate programs tied to federal funding. As of September 2026, we treat these as not confirmed open in this area — check current status with us before assuming availability.

Utility programs

West Penn Power and Penelec serve most of Centre County. Utility rebate or net metering programs vary and change over time — we’ll check what’s currently offered for your account when we scope your project.

What to ask us to verify

Before you plan a budget around an incentive, ask us to check: whether a program is currently active, whether your specific equipment and installer qualify, what documentation is required, and any deadlines tied to installation or claim dates.

We’re happy to walk through this alongside a project scope for solar, battery storage, or mini-splits.

  • Federal rules can change installation-year eligibility
  • State programs may open, pause, or run out of funding
  • Utility offers vary by provider and by year
  • We recheck status before finalizing your quote

Not sure what you may qualify for?

Send us your project details. We’ll tell you what’s currently confirmed and what still needs verification — no guesses, no guarantees.
